Wow, what a beautiful day yesterday, the hottest since April! Having arrived back from holiday the day before I had a ton of washing to dry and it was just the day. As if I didn't have enough to do, I stripped off the bed and laundered the sheets etc. I even put the same ones back on the bed last night and one of my small pleasures is that lovely smell of sheets that have been dried on the line! (how sad). It was lovely to have a day at home, I didn't do much else, spent some time sitting in the garden with a book, made some garlic bread as we had invited Paul and Sandy to join us for a barbecue. Our pleasant evening ended quite early as Steve and our guests had to be up for work on Monday:). I however could have had a lay in this morning, but I was up with the lark. I have done more washing, I tend to leave guest beds until I know that friends who have only slept in the sheets for one day aren't coming back, thus saving myself extra work. This morning and as the sun is shining again I decided to take advantage of a good drying day. I have spent quite a bit of time ironing and cleaning , my Tesco delivery arrived, I can't quite understand how I managed to order just one mushroom. I'm not going anywhere to day until I go across the road for my aqua aerobics class. Sometimes I just like being here all by myself.
